About the author:

Sergius German (born 1952). Ukrainian journalist, diplomat. Author of stories and novels “BMX or the story of a bareback bicycle”, “VIA Romana. The Life of Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky”, “Inge”, “Hotel Citadel”, “Ana on the Porch”, “Shopkeeper and Clarinet”. As an essayist published in the magazine "Zbruch". Member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine.

In his new novel “Inge,” the author introduces the reader to the story of Stepan Bandera’s murderer, Bogdan Stashinsky. This is a story about how incredibly intertwined the destinies of completely different people can be, for whom only one thing is common - love.

Berlin, late fifties. Young Inge meets Josef - charming, handsome, wealthy. They love each other. Everything would be wonderful... but Josef is not who he says he is.

Based on real events, INGE talks about the secret murders of the KGB, about Ukrainian nationalists and partisans, about Bogdan Stashinsky and Stepan Bandera. But, above all, this is a story about how love helped a nineteen-year-old German girl take away one of his best killers from under the nose of the all-powerful KGB and win a battle with the most ruthless punitive machine in Europe.
